    Redefine workplace environmental management with Wisenet

    In the past, building engineering teams would purchase sensors for BMS or HVAC but did not require sensors for monitoring utilisation. Today, responsibility for workplace sensors may have shifted to Estates teams or IT departments where they are seen as an extension to room booking solutions.
    This approach misses the important connection between sensor data for any given workplace zone and the number of people using it. At Abintra, we combine these two critical data streams at the outset by design, rather than as an afterthought in a third-party reporting exercise as sometimes happens

    Temperature

    Temperature sensors are included as standard in Abintra occupancy sensors. Monitor temperature over an entire office floor down to desk level.

    Why utilisation and environmental data matter

    Our purpose-built devices report in real-time on five or more different environmental parameters to provide critical data. As part of a larger project, we monitored a meeting room set out to accommodate 13 people. Our data revealed the room was only suitable for up to five people because of CO2 levels. This was why the doors were propped open after 15 to 20 mins of use. While staff had complained about the stuffy conditions, hard data clinched the argument for change.
